Nicholas Hoult formerly went by the name Nicholas Caradoc Hoult when he was born on December 7, 1989 in Wokingham, Berkshire, England, Britain. His mother, Glenis Hoult, is a pianist, and his father, Roger Hoult, is a pilot or pilot instructor. His siblings consist of two sisters and one brother. He has three kids. At the time, Dame Anna Neagle was one of the most well-known actresses in the world. His great-aunt was one of her. In order to prepare himself for a future in acting, he enrolled at Sylvia Young Theatre School, which is a school for performing arts.

He became well-known after playing the role of Marcus Brewer in the film About a Boy, which was released in 2002. Furthermore, Hoult has portrayed the character of Beast in the X-Men film series and Nux in the film Mad Max: Fury Road.

When Hoult was younger, he participated in shows at the local theater. As a child of six years old, he made his debut in the film Intimate Relations, which was his first feature picture. He has also made appearances in a number of television programs. His portrayal of Tony Stonem in the E4 adolescent series Skins (2007–2008) brought him a greater level of exposure than he had previously received.
