A Chilean-born actor, Pedro Pascal was born in Chile. The parts that he has played that have brought him the most recognition include Oberyn Martell in the fourth season of the HBO series Game of Thrones (2011), Javier Peña in the Netflix series Narcos (2015), the eponymous character in the Disney+ series The Mandalorian (2019), and Joel Miller in the HBO series The Last of Us (2023).
Pascal has been playing the part of the title character in the Star Wars series The Mandalorian, which is available on Disney+, from the year 2019. He also reprised this role in the 2022 film The Book of Boba Fett. In the year 2023, he was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award for his performance as Joel Miller in the HBO drama series The Last of Us. A Screen Actors Guild Award was also bestowed to him for his performance. Since 1999, he has been performing in theater, and in 2019, he made his debut on Broadway in the role of Edmund in the adaption of King Lear. Time magazine recognized him as one of the 100 most influential persons in the world in 2023, while Grindr ranked him as the sexiest guy alive in 2024. Both of these accolades were bestowed upon him.
