One of the most well-known actors in India was taken into custody and later freed on bail in connection with a crush that resulted in the death of another individual during the premiere of his film.

During the screening that took place in Hyderabad city the previous week, Allu Arjun, who is considered to be one of the most prominent stars in the Telugu cinema business, made an unexpected appearance.

The crush resulted in the death of a mother who was 39 years old and left her kid in serious condition.

A court first handed down a penalty of fourteen days in police prison for the actor; but, just a few hours later, the high court released him on bail.

In the case that the police had filed, the actor, his security team, and the management staff of the theater were all accused of being responsible for the death of another person.

The proprietor of the theater, along with two staff, were taken into custody earlier.

On Friday, law enforcement officers went to the residence of the actor and took him into arrest. Next, he was brought before a local court to face the charges against him.

India is a country that frequently has accidents involving huge crowds. In India, fatalities have occurred as a result of insufficient safety precautions and bad crowd control. On the other hand, arrests of prominent celebrities in situations such as these are extremely rare.

Beginning earlier this month, theaters began showing Pushpa 2, the much awaited sequel to the smash film Pushpa: The Rise, which was released in 2021.

It was reported by the police that Allu Arjun entered the theater through the main door around 21:30 local time, which is equivalent to 16:00 GMT.

According to the head of police in Hyderabad, CV Anand, “there was no indication from the side of the theater management or the actor’s team that they would be visiting.”

“His personal security team started pushing the public which further aggravated the situation as there was already a huge gathering at the theatre,” according to a statement released by police.

Arjun’s attorney stated in court that the actor could not be held liable for the occurrence and that the crush occurred on a separate floor than where he was. He also stated that the actor was not there during the crush.

A mother who was 39 years old and her son, who was nine years old, were removed from the throng by the police because they were experiencing feelings of being “suffocated” when the commotion broke out.

First aid was administered to them before they were transported to the hospital.

As the lady passed away at that location, her kid was transferred to a separate hospital, where he is still receiving treatment at this time.

Almost immediately after the occurrence, Allu Arjun expressed his sorrow on X, stating that he was “heartbroken by the tragic incident.”

The mourning family is in my thoughts and prayers at this incomprehensibly trying time. Please accept my deepest condolences. I would like to reassure them that they are not the only ones going through this suffering, and I will personally meet the family,” he added.

In a subsequent statement, he vowed to cover the costs of the woman’s son’s medical care and declared that he would provide aid to the woman’s family in the amount of 2.5 million rupees (about $29,480 or £23,346).

In addition, the film’s production company, Mythri Movie Makers, issued a statement in which they said, “We are committed to standing by them and extending all possible support during this difficult time.”
