At this point in time, we are well into the holiday season, and there is nothing quite like making yourself comfortable on the couch with a Christmas movie. However, let’s be honest: there are only a limited number of times that we can make ourselves laugh while watching Buddy spoon maple syrup into a plate of spaghetti in Elf or listen to Kevin scream into the mirror after putting on some cologne in Home Alone before the enchantment begins to wear off.
The advent of streaming services has, thankfully, resulted in the release of a flood of new Christmas films. There are several streaming services, like Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, and others, who have transformed themselves into the Hallmark channel in an effort to produce the most outstanding Christmas films in the year 2024.
This year, Lindsay Lohan continues her makeover into the queen of Christmas with the release of Netflix’s Our Little Secret; Mean Girls’ Lacey Chabert falls in love with a gorgeous snowman that comes to life in Hot Frosty; and Ben Stiller makes his return to the film with the release of Nutcrackers on Disney+.
First things first: without further ado, here is our compilation of the top new and upcoming Christmas movies that you should see this Holiday season. You can watch all of them from the comfort of your own home on services such as Netflix, Disney+, and others, including Red One, which was recently released on Amazon Prime Video.
