Following the claims that were made against Gregg Wallace, the presenter of the next season of Celebrity MasterChef will be Grace Dent, who is a food critic. Wallace resigned from his position as the show’s host.

Dent is a podcaster and author who has made several appearances as a guest on MasterChef. In addition, he competed in the MasterChef: Battle of the Critics competition back in the previous year.

According to a statement released by Dent, she expressed that the opportunity to host the show was “more than a dream to me” and that she felt “very lucky” to be in charge of the show.

According to John Torode, who will continue to be a host on the show alongside Dent, he has stated that he has “loved” working with her over the years. He has described her as a “excellent guest and inspiring critic.”

Following the findings of an investigation conducted by BBC News, which uncovered complaints of improper sexual comments made by thirteen individuals who had worked with Gregg Wallace, he decided to stand down from his role as the host of MasterChef.

According to the attorneys representing Wallace, the allegations that he engages in behavior that is of a sexually harassing character are completely incorrect.

There has been no confirmation on whether Dent will also take over for Wallace on the other programs that are part of the MasterChef franchise.

Additionally, Dent, who is 51 years old, is a restaurant reviewer for the Guardian, she is the host of a podcast called Comfort Eating with Grace Dent, and she participated in the I’m a Celebrity competition in the year 2023.

However, the journalist and broadcaster, who was born and raised in Carlisle, Cumbria, departed the Australian jungle after only one week due to medical reasons.

According to Dent, “I’ve been watching MasterChef ever since I was a young girl doing so while sitting on the couch with my father.” Every member of my family watches it. Discovering and promoting talent is the most important thing, and the fact that I have managed to climb my way up to this position is more than a dream to me.

“Because I am so thrilled, I am unable to eat, which is quite bad to someone who is recommending restaurants. It is a great honor for me to be able to participate in the upcoming season of Celebrity MasterChef.

“I can’t wait to meet the fresh celebrity faces for 2025.”

Torode, who has been the host of MasterChef since 2005, expressed his happiness at the opportunity to work with Grace over the course of the show’s several seasons. It has been reported that the regular amateur series of MasterChef is now in the process of being produced. Nevertheless, in response of the claims made against Wallace, the BBC decided to cancel its MasterChef Christmas specials.
