It doesn’t matter if someone is well-known and already has a large following; hacks and leaks are still an extremely unfair invasion of privacy.

Many famous people have been the victims of embarrassing gadget hacks and private media leaks, whether it was a sophisticated server hack or someone guessing their password.

Some, like the Jonas Brothers, were victims of unfortunate social media hacks in which unknown users took over their Instagram and Twitter accounts and started posting memes, inflammatory messages, and other strange content, much to the consternation and worry of the stars’ legion of fans.

Conniving hackers also obtained the personal contacts and images of other celebrities from Mila Kunis and other famous people.

Nude photos and videos of Jennifer Lawrence (The Hunger Games) and Vanessa Hudgens (former Disney star) were among the many celebrities whose personal information was stolen and made public after their phones and cloud storage accounts were breached.

As a consequence of a notorious global hack known as “Celebgate” in 2014, several of celebrities’ private cellphones and devices had hundreds of explicit, mostly naked images and videos leaked.

It wasn’t just Lawrence who was hit by the celebrity nude photo hack in 2014; Selena Gomez, Kirsten Dunst, Lea Michele, Victoria Justice, Ariana Grande, and countless more were also victims.

1. Jonas Brothers
   In the summer of 2019, the Jonas Brothers’ Twitter and Instagram accounts were hacked and filled with memes and spam by Diplo.
2. Paris Hilton
   In 2005, hackers successfully guessed Paris Hilton’s password (“Tinkerbell,” the name of her chihuahua) and released personal photos.
3. Vanessa Hudgens
   Vanessa Hudgens has had compromising photos leaked on three different occasions from her email account being hacked.
4. Niall Horan
   “Have a massive spot on my arse. Wondering should I squeeze it. What do ye think?” read a tweet sent from Niall Horan’s official Twitter account in 2013. “OK I don’t know what happened with that last tweet,” he followed up. He later told a fan, “I got hacked again.”
5. Ashley Greene
   In 2009, Ashley Greene had several nude photos leak. Ashley’s hackers used the hype around her images to post false links on message boards, forums and social networks which directed users to a webpage that installed malware.
6. Scarlett Johansson
   In 2011, several nude photos of Scarlett Johansson were uploaded to the internet by Christopher Chaney. In 2012, Chaney pleaded guilty to computer hacking and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
7. Sofia Vergara
   In 2018, Sofia Vergara’s hacker uploaded posts about free giveaways to her Instagram account.
8. Mila Kunis
   Photos of Justin Timberlake shirtless were stolen off Mila Kunis’ phone in 2011.
9. Blake Lively
   In 2011, hackers released photos of someone they claimed to be Blake Lively. Blake and her team claimed that the controversial photos were fake and threatened “legal action against any outlet who published the pictures with the implication that they were Lively.”

   

10. Demi Lovato
    In 2014, Demi Lovato’s then-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama had his Twitter account hacked and several nude and intimate pictures of the couple were posted.
11. Jennifer Lawrence
    Nude photographs of Jennifer Lawrence and other celebs, including Kate Upton and Kirsten Dunst, were released on the internet forum 4Chan in September 2014. George Garafano pleaded guilty to his part in the hacking of the Gmail and iCloud accounts. He was sentenced to eight months in prison, three years of supervised release and 60 hours of community service.
12. Britney Spears
    In 2010, hackers logged in to Britney Spears’ Twitter and impersonated her, acting as if she worshiped the devil.
13. Selena Gomez
    “Oh yeh, JUSTIN BIEBER SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Selena Gomez “tweeted” in 2011. “Sorry everyone,” Gomez later wrote on Facebook. “My Facebook Page and Twitter account has been hacked and we are cleaning it up.”
14. Lady Gaga
    “Monsters, I’m giving away FREE iPad2’s to each one of you in the spirit of the holidays 🙂 Go to [redacted] to receive one!” a tweet read from Lady Gaga’s official Twitter account in 2011. The hack was an obvious web-based scam.
15. Lea Michele
    “Before this gets out to the media, I would like to announce to my fans that I am pregnant,” a hacker tweeted from Lea Michele’s official account in 2014.
16. Jessica Alba
    Jessica Alba had nude photos, which were taken while she was pregnant, stolen from her phone in 2010.
17. Rihanna
    Rihanna’s private photos were released during the iCloud hack in 2014 that also involved Jennifer Lawrence.
18. Julianne Hough
    Hackers reportedly stole photos from Julianne Hough’s phone in 2011.
19. Amanda Seyfried
    Amanda Seyfried had nude photos stolen and posted on the internet in 2017.
20. Emma Watson
    Emma Watson took legal action after dozens of private images of her appeared online in 2017. “Photos from a clothes fitting Emma had with a stylist a couple of years ago have been stolen,” her publicist confirmed. “They are not nude photographs. Lawyers have been instructed and we are not commenting further.”
21. Bella Thorne
    The latest celebrity to have her privacy invaded is Bella Thorne, who posted her own topless photos after a hacked threatened her with them. “I feel gross, I feel watched, I feel someone has taken something from me that I only wanted one special person to see,” she wrote on Twitter.
22. Iggy Azalea
    Iggy Azalea’s nude photos from a 2016 GQ Australia photoshoot were posted online in May 2019. After deactivating her social media, the rapper released a statement, calling the leak a “nuclear bomb” that left her feeling “blindsided embarrassed, violated, angry, sad, and a million other things.”

    In 2017, Miley Cyrus had her private photos compromised after she was targeted in a nude photo hacking. According to The Sun, multiple nude images were stolen from the pop star, as well as a number of other famous celebrities, and posted on a website.
