At a party following the 2000 MTV Music Awards, an unidentified female allegedly was drugged and raped by Jay-Z and Combs.

On Sunday, rap moguls Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs were sued in federal court in an amended case that said the rap moguls raped a girl, who was thirteen years old, during a party in the year 2000.

On social media, Jay-Z disputed the claims and slammed the case, accusing the plaintiff’s lawyer of trying to “blackmail” him. Roc Nation, his record company, released a statement in which he expressed his deepest sympathies for his loved ones and expressed his anguish at the prospect of informing Blue Ivy, his 12-year-old daughter with Beyoncé, about the charges. After Reuters asked for comment, Jay-Z’s lawyers did not immediately react.

This accusation was one of many that Combs rejected in October. He has pled not guilty to federal sex trafficking allegations and is currently incarcerated.

Despite the fact that Jay-Z is now named as a defendant in the revised action, the initial complaint, filed in October in the Southern District of New York, did not include Jay-Z as a defendant.

At a party that Combs hosted following the 2000 MTV Music Awards in New York, the plaintiff claims that she was raped and drugged by Jay-Z and Combs.

She said that she felt “woozy and lightheaded” after drinking a cocktail and that Combs and Jay-Z alternated rapping her during the celebration. She managed to get away from Combs, who was attacking her, by striking him in the neck. She then made her way to a gas station, where her father picked her up.

The Texas attorney representing the plaintiff in Sunday’s case, Tony Buzbee, has used Instagram, a hotline, and a press conference to attract clients and has filed at least twenty civil claims against Combs, all of which accuse him of sexual assault.

At the outset of each of his lawsuits, plaintiffs have remained unidentified. The ability of the plaintiff to continue with the lawsuit anonymously is up to the judge.

If you are serious about pursuing legal action, Jay-Z pleaded with the accuser to “file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!!” Would you not think that anybody does this kind of thing to a child ought to be locked up? If it were true, the victims who have come forward would be justly compensated. It appears that this lawyer, about whom I have read a little, has a pattern of such antics!”

After reviewing the Jay-Z complaint, Buzbee told Reuters that it “speaks for itself” in an email.

It will be litigated in court, Buzbee wrote; it is a very severe problem.

In his updated complaint, Buzbee states that his legal team had approached Jay-Z via letter to try to mediate a resolution.

The complaint states that in response to that letter, Jay-Z sued Buzbee and proceeded to engage in what the lawyer described as an intimidation strategy to quiet his client by “orchestrating a conspiracy of harassment” against him and other attorneys at his business.

Defending the alleged rape victim, Buzbee said on social media that “she only sought a confidential mediation” and that the woman “never demanded a penny” from Jay-Z.

Buzbee accused the legal team at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan of harassing him, his family, and coworkers last week in a complaint he filed against the company. The attorneys at the firm represent Combs and Jay-Z.

No one from Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan was available to comment when Reuters reached out to them.

“True victims in the world, who have to watch how their life story is dressed in costume for profitability by this ambulance chaser in a cheap suit” was Jay-Z’s last comment.

Buzbee, he claimed, had committed “a terrible error in judgement” by treating all famous people the same. “I am not a native of your planet. I’m a young guy who escaped the Brooklyn projects. These are not the kinds of games we engage in. Strict codes and honor are important to us.

We safeguard children, yet you appear to take advantage of them for your own benefit. The ridiculous accusations you’ve leveled against me would be funny if it weren’t for the gravity of the situation involving children’s safety. However, only your group of conspiracy theorists, phony physicists, will buy into them. I can’t wait to demonstrate to you how unique I am.

Judges in New York City have repeatedly denied bail to Combs, citing his “serious risk” of witness tampering as the reason. Before his upcoming sex trafficking trial, prosecutors said that Combs attempted to contact possible witnesses from prison and that he created “narratives” to sway public opinion and prospective jurors.
