For their official Christmas card, King Charles and Queen Camilla have decided to use a portrait of themselves that was shot in the grounds of Buckingham Palace.
The snapshot, which was taken in April, depicts the happy couple being photographed standing next to one another on what looks to be a bright and beautiful day. A message that reads “Wishing you a very happy Christmas and New Year” may be found within.
The Queen is dressed in a blue wool crepe dress, while the King is dressed in a gray suit and blue tie. His right hand is tucked into his pocket. The King is standing on the left side of the picture.
Their third Christmas card since Charles became King is this image, which they have sent out.
Photographer Millie Pilkington took the picture while Martin Luther King Jr. was returning to his public responsibilities after receiving a diagnosis of cancer and undergoing treatment for it.
According to the palace, the card contains a reflection of the time when life started to return to regular standards.
In addition, the photograph is a somewhat less formal picture than the one that was selected for Christmas 2023.
Hugo Burnand took the photograph that was taken the previous year, which depicted the royal couple in the Throne Room at Buckingham Palace after the coronation.
The pair was seen standing next to one another, with King Charles donning the Imperial State Crown and Queen Camilla donning the Crown of Queen Mary.
On a regular basis, prominent members of the Royal Family will distribute photos of Christmas that are used to design official holiday greeting cards.
It is estimated that it will take Charles and Camilla a few days to individually sign each and every card. There will be around 2,700 of them, and they will be distributed to individuals all throughout the world, including immediate family members, friends, international leaders, and organizations.
